What is Baby Days and Toddler Tales?
Baby Days and Toddler Tales is a digital baby book where you can document all the
information about your pregnancy, labor & delivery, and your kidlet's first four
years of life in one easy-to-use, highly-functional format. It looks
pretty, too!
Who is it
for?
Anybody who wants to document the life of a child from pregnancy through to the
fourth year. Or, someone who wants to amalgamate all their pregnancy &
baby books into one (like me).
What if I use metric
measurements for my kidlet?
Not a problem! You can set your preference to either metric or imperial,
and whatever unit of measurement you choose will be consistent throughout your
entire baby album!
What are the
minimum system requirements to run the program?
Operating System: Windows 98 (Second Edition) or XP, Mac OS 10.2 or newer
RAM: 128MB for Windows 98; 192MB for Windows XP; 256MB for Mac
Disk space: 15MB for software alone, will increase with addition of your
photos
CPU: 550 mhz Pentium III; G3 or newer for Mac
Display: 800x600 (15" monitor or larger)
Is there a demo available?
Yes there is! Click on
Demo in the toolbar on the
left. You can also browse our multitude of screenshots
to get a feel for the program in it's entirety.
How difficult is it to navigate through? Do I have to search through pages
upon pages to find what I'm looking for?
Difficult? Not at all. Clever little icons remain on the screen
wherever you go within the program, and these icons can take you to any page you
wish with the click of your mouse.
Can I add
photos?
Yes. It is NOT a photo album where you would place dozens of photos for
the sake of organizing them, but there are various locations that you can add
photos to enhance your entries (pregnancy diary, ultrasound, birth, labor,
delivery, progress, etc.).
Is this going to
alter my original photos in any way?
No. We make COPIES of your originals and place them in their respective
family album folder. In a sense, you can consider this a backup of your
original photos.
Can I add sound or video clips?
Not at this time. We created the software to be used similar to a
traditional hard-bound baby album (only without the scribbling and white-out),
and since you can't add sound or video to a traditional book, neither can you
here. We figured that most users would be using it solely as a text-based
documenting device with pictures added to enhance the subject matter.
Can I have
multiple children in the same Family Album?
You can add as many children as you're willing to have!
Can I print
it?
Yes. You can customize the fonts that appear on your print-outs as well.
We recommend purchasing some nice stationary paper and printing onto that for a
final copy. The print margins are nice and wide (approximately 1" all
around), so stationary with a border around it would work splendidly.

Can I e-mail my book to
friends/relatives?
If you're working with a Mac - yes. You can PDF your album and e-mail
away. For PC users, you would need a PDF-maker application such as Adobe
Acrobat (or countless free ones you can find online) in order to PDF the
album. Keep in mind that when you convert a file to PDF, the resulting
file is NOT editable. Whoever you send the PDF album to will be able to
read the pages of your album but will not be able to edit or change anything
within it.
Is it
customizable?
Fonts are customizable (for both display and print). Pictures can be
custom-framed with the Frame Selector located on the various pages throughout
the program that you can add photos to. Fields are
NOT customizable (except the four blank fields we left in Firsts & Milestones -
you can fill those in as you wish). But we're pretty sure we have included
everything you could possibly want (knock on wood) so you won't NEED to
add anything else!
Who's the cute baby on the cover?
That would be Keira, Laura's daughter, at 8 months old. Awwwww.
